Dan Chapin - Co-founder and President

Dan Chapin, co-founder of Artisan Media, has over 10 years experience in both wine and technology. A graduate of CSU, Chico, Dan began his career as a software consultant in Silicon Valley. It was not long before he decided to pursue his passion for wine and accept a position with Robert Mondavi Winery. There he worked with a leading edge team to build one of the most successful Direct Sales & Marketing models in the industry.

A few years later he signed on with the second largest wine company in the world, Allied Domecq Wines, where he worked as a Business Analyst before moving on to Business Development for the Canadian and UK markets. Most recently, Dan was the Director of Winery Business Development for Inertia (IBG) where he has consulted with over 200 wineries to help build their eCommerce business. In November of 2008 he took over Business Development for Artisan Media working with marketers, distributors and online marketplaces across both consumer and trade channels.

Dan and his wife, Stacey, currently reside in Sonoma County.
